
Standard Encoder EED 58
Within our product line of optical incremental encoders, we present today the STANDARD ENCODER EED58, which is developed based on our high reliable STANDARD ENCODER ED/EE58.
Package diameter meets the industrial standard of 58 mm. The shaft is available in every diameter from 6 mm to 12.7 mm, slot and spring possible.
The centring of 24 mm diameter allows exact fitting of encoder shaft and motor shaft. Due to the through boreholes in the encoder housing, the encoder is fixed directly to the motor housing with the provided three screws without problems, as the EED 58 is manufactured with high precision and the ball bearings are designed for high rotational speed of 12,000 rpm.
The encoder can be manufactured with resolution up to 500,000 pulses per revolution, in the resolution range from 1 to 6,000 every number of pulses is possible.
Supply voltage is either 5 VDC in combination with RS422 line driver or 10 - 30 VDC in combination with push-pull outputs with 3 or 6 channels or RS422 line driver.
Besides that EED 58 is available with square-wave signals as well as with sine/cosine signals with 1 Vpp and angular accuracy of 10" and supply voltage of 5 or 10 - 30 Volts.
Standard operation temperature range is 0° to +80° Celsius, optional either -20° to +110° or -42° to 110° Celsius. Shock resistance is 200 g and protection class is IP 65 or IP 68.
EED 58 is manufactured with cable outlet or connector on the side or on the rear. Standard cable length is 1 m; longer cables are assembled on customer's request.
